Hello My name is Russ.

I have been designing websites since 1996.  I started out writing HTML, however over the years I switched to Frontpage, then to Dreamweaver only to end up using HTML5 and CSS3.  It was a full circle from how I started designing websites.  Now I use WordPress, Joomla and Drupal as well.  These CMS solutions have streamlined the way I am able to produce a website, along with time required to do it.

I am a 1992 Graduate of Glens Falls High School, I was in the US Navy from 1993 to 1994 and was discharged with an Honorable Discharge, I then joined the NY Army National Guard as an Military Police and was with the 105th out of Troy NY from August 1994 until 1997.  I was also discharged with an Honorable Discharge from the NY Army National Guard.

In July of 2012 I began my college journey and enrolled at Full Sail University in the Bachelors of Science program for Web Design and Development.  I graduated in December 2014 as Salutatorian.

In July 2015 I enrolled again at Full Sail University in the Masters of Science program for Internet Marketing.  I graduated in July 2016 as Salutatorian.

My combined GPA for both degrees is 3.83. If you would like to see my portfolio on Full Sail University website please click here.

Website Designs

What started out as a hobby in 1996 has become a passion.  I enjoy just sitting back in my office chair and writing out HTML and CSS.  To some people that might sound weird, however to me, it is pure enjoyment.  Whether I am debugging a PHP script or writing 1000+ lines of code for a website, there is never a dull moment.  If you want to check out my website designs that I have done and if you have any questions let me know.  Oh here is the LINK to see those web designs.

Marketing

So I got started in marketing by designing sales flyers for the local plumbing supply house I worked at.  I would also take and design the ads that ran in the local newspapers, then as the internet started to get more use, I began learning how to use Google AdWords, Yahoo, Bing and then onto Social Media to promote the business.  Now I do Email Campaigns, Facebook Ads, Google Adwords, Inbound Marketing, Print, PPC, SEO, SEM and all of those other acronyms that are being tossed around now a days by the tech world.  So follow the LINK to check out some of the campaigns I have developed over the years.

My Artwork

Yes, I know my artwork, who cares right?  Well I do, it is my way to relax, get the creative spirit going again when I am having trouble with a website design.  It is something I enjoy doing and I have a couple of my prints done full size and hanging in my house.  Every time some one comes over they always comment about how nice they are and portrays my style so well. Hum, come to think of it, maybe they were just being nice to me.  Anyway I will leave that decision up to you.  If you like any of my artwork, please drop me an email to let me know.  Check them out using this LINK.

F.A.Q.’s

Q: Do you work for yourself or for a company?
A: Currently I work for myself.  My business is Adirondack Online Services.  I have had this business for 20 years, even while I worked a full time job.

Q: So are you looking for employment or looking to promote yourself?
A: Good question, the answer I would say is both.  If a great job opportunity comes along, I will definitely talk with them and see where it goes.  If a company was thinking about hiring me, but decide that it might be best to hire my company instead, that works as well.

Q: Do you have pricing for your work?
A: On my website Adirondack Online Services there is pricing for some things, with websites it varies depending on what features you want.
